The Beginning of Forever

Think of the classic fairytale where the prince finds the love of his life and they fit together like puzzle pieces. That is the best way to describe Grayce and Phillip.

They first met in fifth grade, but their lasting bond began during their junior year of high school when their friends and brothers brought them together. Grayce asked Phillip out not once, not twice, but three times before he finally gathered the courage to ask her on a date. Phillip knew he was truly in love with Grayce the first time he watched her ski moguls at Alta. They spent nearly every day together, and when they weren't together, they were texting. Unlike the time it took Phillip to get down on one knee, they took their time before officially becoming boyfriend and girlfriend.

Throughout high school, they attended every dance, hiked, skied, went boating, and even built woodworking projects together, including the guitars they will play at their wedding.

After graduation, Phillip attended the University of Utah while Grayce enrolled at Brigham Young University Idaho, and they continued dating despite the distance. A semester later, Phillip was called to serve a Spanish-speaking mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Las Vegas. Grayce was later called to serve in Montevideo, Uruguay. Although the separation was difficult, they were thrilled to both be learning Spanish and faithfully emailed each other every week throughout their missions, often writing in Spanish.

When Grayce returned home, they went on a sunset date at the park, and that very evening decided to spend the rest of their lives together. A few weeks later, Phillip proposed at the same spot where they had shared their first kiss, on a hike behind Grayce's home near the Draper Utah Temple.

They feel incredibly blessed to begin their eternal family together and are grateful to celebrate this special day with their family and friends!
